Day156 has seen 6.9 miles walked with an ascent of 607 feet as I walked the 1.9 mile Corstorphine Hill Safari and the 5 mile Cammo Curiosities and the Almond Walk.

What Flowers?!
What Flowers?!

They were lovely walks around the countryside that borders the delightful River Almond. Dappled in sunshine as I walked through the wonderful wooded glens a sombre mood was very much created as the thunder rippled through the darkening skies and the odd drop of rain threatened. I had a horrible sensation that I had been here before and started to get the tell tale signs of metallic tastes and smells and the slight fuzziness of a seizure. I immediately fought back. NO WAY WAS I GOING TO HAVE A SEIZURE OUT HERE. I swallowed hard and worked hard at a rhythm in my breathing and my walking. I concentrated hard on breathing and walking. Not allowing myself to be brow beaten into submission by the unrelenting fuzziness AND I WON!!!!!! It never came. My goodness it was close but my vision, cognitive and motor function remained intact and in total dominance throughout. I have no idea whether or not it was the electrical charge in the atmosphere that was, as well as causing the thunder, trying to trigger a seizure but it mattered not because I beat it.

Sadly, and most unusually I met no one today. There were people about but no meetings to report on so a very quiet day but a good couple of walks, the rain held off and a seizure beaten. A good day and a super short post Hoorah!!

Considering I started this challenge 9 months ago very quietly with no target beyond a fiver, thanks to the brilliant advice from a friend of mine, I am absolutely thrilled and again thank you all. That is £51.39 for each and every day that I have managed to find the will and energy to do something worthwhile and my goodness it has been worth it for my peace of mind, for my healing and for the five wonderful charities you are supporting through your generosity. Long may it continue. May I also ask however that if you are not sponsoring me to please consider it for as much or as little as you can afford. My rate of revenue raising has slowed from £70.00 a day to £60.00 a day to £54.02 a day so please sponsor me and encourage your friends to as well.

Thank you all for your incredible comments and support. Please continue to spread the word.
If you see me around do please give a cheery hello and shake my hand or toot your horn and give a cheery wave to show your support and encourage me on.

Yours aye

Archie
